My name is Ofamo'onia Masaniai. I am your friendly certified cookie chemist and treat maker. I am Hawaii born and raised. Ohlaf's Factory originated in December of 2021 in my childhood home kitchen. After completing my associates degree in general studies and digital arts at my local community college (Kaua'i Community College) I knew I wanted to continue to create. I always had a passion for being in the kitchen. My first bake sale was not intentionally for profit. It started as a fundraiser bake sale in November of 2021 for a struggling neighbor with medical/housing needs. During a time where finding a job was scarce for a broke and confused college student. This idea struck a light in me to make it official and begin what would become Ohlaf's Factory. The name Ohlaf was a given nickname in my younger years because I hated when people mispronounced my name, my family would call me Ohlaf. I chose Ohlaf's factory as my domain because of my love for Chemistry and History.
My Story
Born and raised on the Island of Kaua'i. I come from two beautiful Polynesian parents Faleaka, my mother and Tumua, my father with a big family of ten. I am the seventh child of eight. I have two Sisters Ilaisa'ane and Mele. I also have five brothers Viliami, Tumua jr. , Unaloto, Fresno and Tulosi. I grew up in a blue collared home. Both of my parents have their own construction/masonry business.
